Monday was a Blur

There was bumper-to-bumper traffic going in to the city this morning and I made it in to work with ten minutes to spare. The Commonwealth Games finished at about 7:30 am this morning, so I expect people stayed up watching the hockey and netball and then left for work when it was over.

Being late in to work made the morning go faster, so by lunch time I felt as though I was just starting for the day, even though I had done a lot of work. The afternoon flew by quickly. Soon I was on my way home with a welcoming fire in the fireplace and Max wagging his tail at the door.

The internet and mobile phones have been slower than usual, probably due to large internet traffic from the Commonwealth Games. I hope that things will be a bit more accessible in a couple of days.
