Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

What a great day to raise money for Cancer research! Two of our students stayed most of the day, making canapés and finger food. We had a great chat around the biscuits and cake table. There were a few family members of the staff, as well as partners. Next year Danny is planning a bigger day one weekend and Liddy Is planning to market it.

I tried to make peanut butter and Nutella balls in the morning, but left out the ground oat flour and did not refrigerate them long enough. Someone must have run across the road to the supermarket, because there was a bowl of similar perfectly formed coconut coated spheres in the middle of the table. At the end of the day, I just brought them home again.

Kelli stayed for a few hours, so we had a long chat and exchanged mobile phone numbers. It was a great way to talk with people in a relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the day, I was really surprised at how easy it was to connect with people, as we all had a chance to talk in our own style of communicating.
